Our Curriculum

At JMS, we do not entirely focus only on the Montessori Methods of teaching. Our school comprises a unique curriculum that is built upon all the wonderful aspects of child development from both the Montessori and Pre- School approaches. This will benefit the child immensely whilst the wonderful preparation of his whole being.

Exercises of Practical Life

Practical life exercises develop motor skills, independence, concentration, responsibility, and care for self and environment.

Sensorial Education

Sensorial activities refine children's six senses, enhancing perception and learning during their most receptive early years.

Language Concepts

Language exercises build vocabulary, expression, and literacy skills in English and Sinhala at JMS Montessori.

Basic Mathematics

Math materials give children hands-on experience with numbers, teaching basic concepts and simple arithmetic operations.

Religious Knowledge

At JMS, both Roman Catholicism and Buddhism are taught to the children based on the religion they follow.

Cultural Education

Culture teaches geography, geometry, botany, zoology, and nurtures creativity through music, dance, art, and crafts.
