Jesus My Shepherd (JMS) International Montessori House of Children, founded in 2003 by Bishop Harold Anthony Perera, began with just three children and has since grown to serve over 1,000. Government-approved and AMI-recognized, JMS is registered with the Western Province Education Department and proudly affiliated with Sri Lanka’s only AMI-authorized training center at St. Bridget’s Convent—ensuring the highest standards in authentic Montessori education.

Mrs. Neluka Tissera (late) began teaching Montessori at 19 and served in several renowned institutions before founding JMS International Montessori. With 20 years of experience, she nurtured over 1,200 children, dedicating her life to their growth. Now in its 19th year, JMS continues to thrive, guided by God’s blessings and the enduring love of its founder.

Mr. Rohan Tissera, who is a certified educator and holds the Higher Diploma in Pre-School and Primary Education awarded by the Open University of Sri Lanka is the Director of JMS.
